"Always Swim at Night" is the result of a lot of late nights, meditative walks, and attempting to translate a range of emotions I’ve been processing. Though not my initial intention, what materialized were songs that explore personal loss and collective grief (especially during the pandemic), definitions of “home,” and recalling emotions from poignant moments in my life as a way of escape (and their relation to the present). All sounds were made by guitar, synths, effect pedals, and cassette tape loops.

Please know that during the whole month of this EP's release (September 2021), 100% of the album sales will be donated to RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services), especially at this time of crisis for those seeking refuge from Afghanistan.
